Dinner event for the Lancaster MBA and Executive MBA programmes.

MBA and EMBA alumni are invited to attend the Lancaster MBA London Dinner 2023, in the stunning 1901 Ballroom at the Andaz London Liverpool Street Hotel.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect and network within our MBA community, to engage with corporate partners, to hear from our guest speaker Andy Rubin, Deputy Chair of Pentland Group... and to enjoy a three-course dinner and drinks together in a top London venue!

Times: 18:30 - 23:00

Format: Seated dinner event, with drinks reception, guest speaker and networking. Cash bar also available. Dress code: smart business.

Venue: 1901 Ballroom, Andaz London Liverpool Street Hotel, 40 Liverpool Street, London, EC2M 7QN.

Cost: £60 (+ £4.76 Eventbrite booking fee). Ticket price includes pre-dinner drink and three course dinner with wine, followed by tea/coffee.

About the speaker: Andy Rubin MA MBA CCMI

Andy Rubin is Deputy Chair of Pentland Group, a UK-based, private family-owned company operating in sports, outdoor and fashion. Andy is a member of the third generation of owners.

Pentland owns global brands Speedo, Canterbury, Berghaus, Ellesse, Endura and Mitre and is the global footwear partner for Lacoste. The Group is the majority shareholder in JD Sports Fashion plc, a publicly listed international multichannel retailer in sports, outdoor and fashion operating over 3,700 stores in 30 countries.

Andy is Chair of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry. For 3 years he Chaired the Dean's Council at Lancaster University Management School. He is a Companion of the British Academy of Management and is an Honorary Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation at Lancaster University. Andy is a member of the Family Advisory Council for the Said Business School at the University of Oxford’s research programme examining the benefits of corporate purpose.

He is an Enterprise Fellow of the Prince’s Trust charity, an ambassador for Leaders Quest, and served on the Board of In Kind Direct, the UK’s leading redistribution charity, for over 20 years.

Andy read Law at Trinity College, Cambridge University and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.

This event is open to all Lancaster MBA and EMBA alumni.
