A new podcast dives into key aspects of studying to help new students adapt to learning at university.

Lancaster University’s Learning Development team have launched The Study Filesin collaboration with the Centre for Scholarship and Innovation in Management Education (SIME), and a team of student employees.

The podcasts are intended for a student audience, and may be of particular use for those new to studying, who can feel unfamiliar with expectations at Lancaster.

“We wanted to make an informal and fun series that was led by our students,” said Dr Sarah Robin, Learning Developer at Lancaster University. “Students can expect the podcasts to be informative and conversational aids to study – as useful insights into learning from experienced students.

“Our team of students have gone above and beyond, and produced something innovative, enlightening and enjoyable.”

Three episodes have been released to start the series:

Groupwork

Reading Right

Critical Reading

The podcasts have been made as a collaborative project between Lancaster students, Learning Development (Dr Sarah Robin), Andy Holgate (Lancaster University Library Digital Skills Developer), and SIME.
