The Department of Accounting and Finance at LUMS is delighted to invite you to join ourIndustry Engagement and Knowledge Transfer Series with Data Science expert, Dr. Valeri Voev, Principal Data Engineer, Lego System A/S.

Dr. Voev will present how cutting age data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence is applied in the world's leading manufacturers of play materials, Lego Group - “Only the best is good enough”, “Inspire and Develop the Builders of Tomorrow”. There will also be an opportunity for a Q&A session and networking with light refreshment provided.

Dr. Valeri Voev holds a Ph.D. in Econometrics and works as a Principal Data Engineer at the LEGO Group. In his role as part of the Data Office leadership team, he is involved in defining the principles, architecture, and strategy with respect to data platforms, data science, and engineering standards, integration of data products with the rest of the digital technology landscape, and overall topics on data enablement. Valeri is passionate about both educating himself as well as anyone else who is interested in the field of ML and AI. He believes in open knowledge and contributes to both open-source projects and MOOCs.
