EDI Seminar

Organisations put gender equality and inclusion high on their agenda. Yet, women still face many disadvantages and barriers at work. Women are more likely to be employed in insecure work and continue to be under-represented in positions of power in organisations. Recent events, including the Covid-19 pandemic and rising cost of living have impacted the labour market and workers across the UK , bringing further attention to existing inequalities between women and men. In this seminar Valerie draws on the work of the LUMS Gender Matters project and with reference to the LUMS GE report 2023 developed by the TARGETED MPI project, to review key contemporary gender equality challenges for the UK workplace.
