LUMS IMPACT SEMINAR SERIES

Dr Gemma Derrick is the co-Director of the Centre for Higher Education Research and Evaluation. Her research focuses on the evaluation of research and tracking its scientific and societal value. Gemma’s forthcoming book, “The Evaluators’ Eye: Impact Assessment and Academic Peer Review” outlines her work analysing peer review panels assessing the Impact criterion under the 2014 UK Research Excellence Framework. Gemma has given talks to Impact professionals and academics about evaluation processes and advises research councils in the UK, EU and beyond around peer review processes, research evaluation and Impact. She is also a key advisor to the World Health Organisation’s Evidence-informed Policy network.
