"Superman or Last Man? Consumer Culture and the Politics of Resentment”
James Fitchett is Professor of Marketing and Consumption and Head of the Marketing Division at the University of Leicester School of Business, UK. James is also an Associate Editor of Marketing Theory. James’ research area examines various applications of philosophy, social theory, and cultural studies to marketing issues and contexts. He has written about neoliberalism in marketing studies and has recently completed research examining the impacts of marketization in tourism development in advanced economies. His research in grounded in critical theory, post-Marxism and psychoanalysis and is currently developing an application of Nietzsche to consumer culture theory and marketing theory.
