Why did you choose to study at LUMS?

The Marketing Management degree provided by LUMS has been ranked very highly in the UK.

What was the best thing about your course?

The best thing about my course was how professional and educated our lecturers were.

What/who inspired you the most at LUMS and why?

Victoria Metcalf and Jekaterina Rindt. They care about students so much. Guiding students to become successful is what they value the most. They both inspired me to not give up on what I wanted, and made me believe that I have the ability to achieve everything during my time at LUMS.

Did you do a project, placement or study abroad? What did this involve and what did you gain?

I did a placement year at Sony Semiconductor Solutions Group as a Marketing Analyst. The placement year boosted my confidence and self-belief. I did my placement year during Covid-19, so despite working from home, I managed to learn a lot about image sensors and the semiconductor industry.

Memorable, joyful, challenging. 

What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?

I had fun doing all my marketing modules. I always loved working with others in a group. Also, being a Lancaster University ambassador for 3 years has created a lot of good memories.

What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?

The friendly environment, and people treat students very well.

Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?

My placement year, and the Marketing Me module with Victoria Metcalf.
