Why did you choose to study at LUMS?
I wanted to study in England to improve my language skills, moreover I wanted to study in an international and challenging environment. LUMS was definitely my first choice since it provides such environment and it has a eally good ranking for marketing.
What was the best thing about your course?
The best thing was that every topic, discussed during the classes, was subsequently put into practice through group works and presentations. Particularly, during the classes of Contemporary Consumption we had the opportunity to work for Lancaster Town Hall: it was absolutely challenging and exciting having the opportunity to present there and to prepare a project for a real client.
What are your best memories of your time at Lancaster?
Studying here gave me the opportunity to meet some amazing people from all over the world, that enriched every single day I spent at LUMS.
What are the best things about living in the Lancaster area?
Having the opportunity to explore diverse parts of the UK. From Lancaster is easy to go to the Lake District, but also to Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, York… Moreover, Lancaster is a small town so I had the opportunity to meet many students from other Masters and Bachelors degrees.
What impact did scholarships/funding have on your degree experience?
It gave me the motivation to study harder and to put a greater effort in all the projects, since I wanted to demonstrate that I was worth the scholarship I was given.
Which parts of your Lancaster experience were the best preparation for your job?
It was the fact that I had the opportunity to undertake various group projects with students from all over the world and from various study/cultural backgrounds. Thanks to that, now I can easily work with everybody.
What impact has your Lancaster experience had on your career?
Studying at Lancaster gave me the opportunity to stand out from other candidates when I was applying for my first job. Thanks to that it was not difficult to find a good starting point for my future career.
