Andy Walker

Andy has worked has worked across a range of economic development functions and locations within local government for over 20 years. Coming from and economic research and analysis background, his career has developed to included specific sectoral work with Aerospace and Automotive sectors in the West Midlands and the Creative and Digital sector in Glasgow and Greater Manchester.

More latterly, in addition to co-ordinating, commissioning and running business support programmes; Andy has worked with both Growth Hub and Innovation leads across the Northern Powerhouse region.

Andy has been in his current role as Head of Business Growth and Innovation at Lancashire County Council since January 2012. He is also an Honorary Teaching Fellow – Business Engagement at Lancaster University for the 2017/18 academic year.
