The MBA Ball was a wonderful way to say farewell to the class of 2013/14 and also to welcome back alumni from across the world. Former staff members and MBA directors were also invited along to share in the glittering gold and silver-themed evening.

The event took place at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, with the Lake District Hills forming a breathtaking backdrop. Alumni had travelled to join the celebrations from all around the world, including Africa, China, India and Europe, to meet up with old friends and classmates.

There were speeches from LUMS Dean, Professor Sue Cox; from the Vice Chancellor, Professor Mark E Smith; Chris Saunders, Director of the Full-time MBA; and Andy Fan, the current MBA Student Board Director of Sports and Social Events.

The Ball was the culminating event in a weekend of activities. Earlier, teams of alumni competed with students from the current MBA class in the capstone event of the Lancaster MBA: the Blue Ocean Strategy Simulation.
