ABOUT
Are you interested in real stories from the front lines of business?
Join us for an enlightening session with Simon Johnson, a seasoned business and charity leader known for his strategic acumen and integrity. With extensive experience in high-profile sectors and government collaboration, Simon excels in stakeholder management, strategic negotiation, and impactful public advocacy. As an Entrepreneur in Residence and Honorary Teaching Fellow at LUMS, he brings a wealth of expertise in governance, strategy, and business development. Throughout his career, Simon has navigated the intricacies of high-profile and multifaceted organizations within the sports, leisure, and charity sectors.
In this talk, Simon will discuss his theory of Leadership by Consent and the extent to which personal values contribute to good leadership. He will explain how Leadership by Consent enhances performance in business, community, and representative roles. The talk will contrast Leadership by Consent with other forms of leadership and, by examining case studies, explore how, with both entrepreneurial leadership and representative leadership, core elements of personal values still play a crucial role in the most successful leadership.
In this series you can listen to real entrepreneurs talk about the good, the bad and the ugly, not just sharing their glorious success, but also hearing about the journey, sometimes with mistakes made and painful lessons learned, but always articulated with passion and honesty.
