Matthew Pawelski, Research and Enterprise Services will present a seminar to the Management Science Department

Abstract: The importance of demonstrating impact has risen significantly on the Higher Education agenda in recent decades. Whether in research, teaching, or knowledge exchange, showcasing impact and value now occupies considerable time and effort. In this paper, Dr. Matthew Pawelski, Impact Development Manager at LUMS and FHM, will focus on research impact beyond academia: what it is, why it matters, why you should consider it, and its role in the research lifecycle. He will also outline steps to plan, evidence, and articulate the impact of your research beginning from an early stage. The session welcomes discussion and shared experiences and is open to researchers at all career stages and across all disciplines.
