About iGrow Green Careers
The iGrow Green Careers Programme at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is a free, hands-on learning programme designed to help develop future leaders in sustainability. The programme is funded by the British Council’s Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants.
This programme is designed to help you build confidence and unlock your potential. It will be tailored to your individual needs, and give you the chance to experience university life, network, and boost your employability.
Who can take part?
To take part in the programme, you must be:
- Aged between 18 and 30 years old
- A British Citizen or permanent resident of the UK who does not require a study visa
- Meet one or two of the following criteria:
- Unemployed, not at college or training
- Received free school meals during school
- The first in your family to attend university
- Come from a low-income background
- Black, Asian, or other ethnic minority background
- Have had limited access to opportunities, support, or career guidance
- Motivated and committed to the programme
You do not need prior experience in business or sustainability.
How much does the programme cost?
There is no fee to take part. Travel bursaries are available to support your attendance.
When does the programme take place?
- Start date: 29 April 2026
- Attendance: Every Wednesday at Lancaster University for 6 - 12 weeks
