Event Details

Current students and members of staff can join the Green Lancaster team to plant a selection of native tree saplings at the ECOWoods Rewilding sites at Forrest Hills.

The ECOWoods project encompasses all of the woodland creation, management and conservation practical work across the campus estate, Hazelrigg and Forrest Hills, via a year-round programme of activity. Students and staff members are encouraged to take part in the project by volunteering. Get involved, gain practical experience and help with nature regeneration!

Please ensure you are wearing appropriate outdoor footwear, bring warm and waterproof clothing. If you would like to, you will be able to borrow waterproofs and wellies on the day. Gloves and tree planting equipment will be provided. You are welcome to bring snacks and a hot drink with you.

Please meet at the ECOHub on Alexandra Park, from where we will make our way on foot to Forrest Hills.

Please contact us on green@lancaster.ac.uk in advance to access the tour if you have reduced mobility or accessibility requirements.
