Library Avenue Closure – Thursday 11th May

The LEC building

On Thursday 11th May Library Avenue will be out of access for users wishing to park and for pedestrian access to the LEC building and BLS facilities due to the presence of a large crane and other heavy machinery for work at height. Access for essential deliveries will still be maintained during this period. The north-side pedestrian path will also remain open during this time, with access to the secure staff cycle storage, open air cycle storage and bin store on Library Avenue maintained from the path on Thursday 11th May.

Access is likely to be restricted for this one-day period only. During this time please refrain from attempting to access Library Avenue for parking, delivery and pedestrian access to the LEC building and BLS facilities and organise alternative arrangements where necessary. The works will not impede traffic on the Perimeter Road, with access to the Pre-School Centre (adjacent to Library Avenue) maintained throughout the one-day period. Access to the north side pedestrian path will maintained throughout the day, with access to the secure staff cycle storage, open air cycle storage and bin store available from the path.

We ask colleagues who would normally park on Library Avenue to please refrain from parking in the dedicated Pre-School Centre parking spaces close to Library Avenue; these spaces are reserved for users of the Pre-School Centre only.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this planned period of closure. If you require further information in relation to this project please direct enquires to the Facilities Communications inbox: facilitiescommunication@lancaster.ac.uk.
