FRS Roofing Services Ltd. were recently appointed by the University to undertake roofing works to Slaidburn House. This involves the renewal of 2 leaking flat roofs located at the rear of the building, overlooking the loading bays on Tower Avenue.

As part of a wider project, the University conducted a series of building condition surveys, utilising drone technology to survey the roofs of each building on campus. These surveys highlighted the need to replace the roof of Slaidburn House.

The project has been scheduled over to summer to avoid disrupting students during the University’s exam period in order to minimise the impact of the project and mitigate disruption.

The works are expected to end by early -August 2021. If you would like further information on the project, or to be added to the email distribution list to receive regular updates in relation to the project, please email facilitiescommunication@lancaster.ac.uk.
