These stories were exercises in writing in English for Black people who had come to England. Many wrote about what they knew, so the distinct themes are reminiscing about their homelands and life before they moved to the UK, and also about their experiences once they have moved to the UK and many about their first impressions of the place.
These were written between the late 1960s and 2000.
