If you are a Buddhist or interested in Buddhist practice, you are very welcome to join our Buddhist group practice for chanting, meditation and exploring Buddhist wisdom. We meet weekly during term time at Chaplaincy center for group practice to cultivate inner peace, develop concentration and wisdom.

Time: Monday evenings, 18pm-20pm

What we practice and discuss:

  • Mindful Chanting

Buddhist chanting is an important of daily practice in Buddhism, and it is a kind of meditation practice. Through mindfully training our mind to focus on our voice and the harmony of the group voice, it cultivates the ability of concentration.

  • Chan Poems, Gong’an and Meditation

Chan poems written by ancient masters and the practice stories of them reveal the meaning and profound significance of meditation secrets as well as enlighten and purify our mind.

  • Spiritual Yoga

Spiritual Yoga practice combines both mind and body training in strength, compassion, concentration, balance, eqinimity and wisdom.

  • Buddhist Wisdom

Learning and discussing Buddhist teachings and philosophies from various perspectives, as well as sharing our own practice experiences, through readings, lectures, seminars, film watching, etc....
