Bailrigg Lane path to reopen – users advised to pay higher levels of care and attention

From the afternoon of Monday 24 July the Bailrigg Lane path between Bailrigg Lane and the University will reopen to all users following its recent closure.

A new high friction anti-skid surfacing treatment will be applied to the path between Monday 4 September and Wednesday 6 September 2023. Until this time temporary SLOW and STOP road markings will be in place, in addition to signage notifying users of the planned implementation of anti-skid road surfacing.

We advise all those using Bailrigg Lane, whether cycling, walking, or wheeling, to be vigilant during this time and ensure that they travel at slower speeds with heightened levels of care and attention.
