Bigforth Drive works impacting Sport Lancaster customers between Friday 8 - Monday 18 August

Sport Lancaster customers are advised to be aware of works taking place on Bigforth Drive, enabling the delivery of large thermal storage tanks as part of the Net Zero Energy Project at Lancaster University.
Vehicle users
Between Friday 8 August and Monday 18 August, the belisha beacons on the pedestrian crossing adjacent to the Sports Centre will be out of use. Vehicle users are advised to be cautious of pedestrians using the zebra crossing when driving past the Sports Centre during this timeframe.
Bigforth Drive will remain open to all vehicles, but the lane will be narrowed and traffic slowed to create a safe working area. Traffic management signage will be in place, and banksmen will be on site to manage traffic where needed.
Pedestrians
On Sunday 10 August, from 7am, the zebra crossing will be out of use and a diversion route will be in place.
