ISS Roof Replacement Project commences construction phase

A project is underway to replace the ISS roof on SouthWest Campus.
Rayner Rowen Construction Limited have been appointed by the University to undertake the project, which involves removal of large sections of infrastructure and roof covering.
The ISS building contains vital IT systems and infrastructure that are critical to the University’s day-to-day operations. The new roof will improve the efficiency of the building and ensure it remains watertight.
Staff from C-floor of the ISS building have been moved to other locations during the works. This is not expected to affect any services they offer as the ISS team have been running a reduced staff presence in the building since the Covid pandemic began.
The project is expected to complete in December this year (2021).
