Postgraduate Statistics Centre access control works underway

The Postgraduate Statistics Centre

Works are now underway to install an upgrade to the access control system used in the Postgraduate Statistics Centre building. The upgrade includes the installation of a new security system to both A-floor and B-floor building entrances, and will complete in April 2023.

The A Floor entrance will be closed during the first phase of works, with an alternative building entrance on Fylde B Floor accessible via the internal bridge on B Floor of Fylde College. The B Floor entrance will be closed during the second phase of works, with an alternative building entrance via the PSC A Floor entrance. Please note, work sequencing is subject to change, but an entrance to the PSC building will always be maintained at any one time. Accessible routes to both PSC A and B floors will be available throughout the works period.

Once the project is completed, each building user will be required to use their individual University Card (which features your personal photograph) to access the building out of normal working hours (8am to 6pm Monday to Wednesday, 8am to 5:30pm, Thursday to Friday). Users will be able to simply scan their cards at the building entrance to ensure access.
