Road marking works to take place across campus during week beginning Monday 29 January

Road on campus

Bailrigg Campus road marking – Tuesday 30 January

From Tuesday 30 January a team of road-marking specialists will undertake a programme of minor road-marking works on the campus roads network. This will include the new line painting in areas without existing lines and refreshing of road markings in other areas as required. The programme of works should not result in the closure of any roads; however, it may impact on the flow of traffic in some areas while painting is undertaken. The works are expected to be completed on Tuesday 30 January but may continue later in the week as and where necessary.

The majority of road marking works will take place at the Energy Yard and Maintenance Yard, and at various locations on the Perimeter Road including zebra crossings. Other areas of scheduled works include Fylde Avenue, Green Lane, Grizedale Avenue, Farrer Avenue and John Creed Avenue.

Please contact the Facilities Helpdesk if you expect to be impacted by these road marking works: 01524 593333, facilities.helpdesk@lancaster.ac.uk.

John Creed Avenue Electric vehicle parking – Tuesday 30 January

The new electric vehicle (EV) parking bays located on John Creed Avenue will be closed for use from Monday 29 January as new parking space markings are painted on the road. The spaces will be restricted by barriers implemented by the Security Services team. Other EV parking spaces are available at the following locations on campus:

Car Park E, located on South Drive opposite the ISS building, will also be temporarily closed due to an unrelated project.
