Tree removal to close section of perimeter road on North Campus

For safety reasons, contractors will commence the removal of a large Beech tree from the woodland to the front of the LICA building and adjacent to Rossendale Ave. The removal will require the use of a 40 tonne crane and will take place on Thursday 17th June.

During normal working hours, the crane will be situated on the Perimeter Road on North West Campus, between Rossendale Ave. and The Croft. This will require the closure of a section of the Perimeter Road, allowing vehicles to turn around using the junctions on either side. The closure will be signposted and the crane will be removed by the end of the working day.

The car parking spaces in the working vicinity will be closed from the evening of Wednesday 16th June and staff and visitors are asked to refrain from parking in the area.
