Our Cross Cultural Competence Awareness Workshop will help you develop thriving relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds. It offers a useful framework to identify ways to grow your cross-cultural competence, navigate cross-cultural interactions, and then provide examples to employers in future interviews. It will equip you with awareness and skills to make a difference in incresingly interconnected and global world. The workshop is available for free to all Lancaster University students and you can gain 5 Lancaster Award points by attending this workshop.

In a world that is becoming increasingly more global and interconnected, being culturally competent is an essential key employability skill for 2019 and beyond. Cross-Cultural competence is the ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures and from different backgrounds. This workshop will enable you to understand why being culturally competent is important for your future career, explore what cross-cultural competence is and is not and help you identify ways to grow your cross-cultural competence and then provide examples to employers in future interviews.
