International research forum for L2 phonology

Reitoria Universidade NOVA de Lisboa
NOVA University Lisbon is a strategic partner of Lancaster University.

Researchers at Lancaster University have recently joined forces with colleagues at the University of Toronto and NOVA University Lisbon to create a new research forum dedicated to the study of how adults learn the sound systems of new languages.

The NLT L2 Phonology Research Forum will bring together, on a regular basis, researchers and students from the three partner universities. The forum will be used to present and discuss ongoing work, including PhD research, in an informal, friendly and cooperative setting.

The forum complements the seminar series of the Heritage Language 2 Consortium (HL2C), which regularly features talks on heritage and second language phonology.

Meetings take place once per month via Microsoft Teams. To get involved, please contact Professor Patrick Rebuschat, or email L2-phonology@fcsh.unl.pt.
