There will be a pop-up cooking demonstration making delicious plant-based food that will be giving out free samples to students. It will be to advertise the EcoEats project, a student-led group that will teach students sustainable cooking and food management skills.
EcoEats cooking sessions will be held in several locations around campus, running community cooking sessions alongside a professional chef to cook with plant-based ingredients. Using surplus produce donated from Central and other partners to help reduce food waste and practice responsible consumption. Marketplace and Barker House will be regular venues but expect more developments in the future!
As part of the EcoEats project, a food box will be available to every student kitchen on campus, so that every flat can cook together at the end of Welcome Week to create a delicious bean chilli.
