Sustainable Development Goals
The United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were developed in 2015 as a call to global action to overcome the world’s biggest challenges — from hunger and poverty to equality and environmental action.
At Lancaster University, we are deeply committed to addressing the SDGs. It is embedded within our institutional purpose - to advance knowledge, wisdom and understanding through the excellence of our teaching and research. By engaging with others, we will use our collective intellectual and wider capabilities as a force for good and create positive economic, cultural, societal and environmental change.
As the challenges the world faces change, we believe that our innovative approach will drive sustainable results.
