Description:
Moodle is our virtual learning environment (VLE) used for most coursework submissions at Lancaster, particularly for text-based assessments. This 60-minute session will explore the submission and marking process, including how Moodle integrates into LUSI. We'll look at the different configuration options in the assignment and explore how they can be used to achieve the scenarios from Part 1 of this series. Further, we'll look at key administrative tasks such as granting extensions, allocating markers and submitting on behalf of students.
This session takes place in-person in Library Training Room 1
Outcomes:
At the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Define assessments in LUSI that are submitted via Moodle.
- Configure the Moodle assignment for different submission scenarios.
- Understand how "creative" submissions such as audio/video submissions work.
- Control the release of grades and feedback to students.
- View the online submission and marking process from the student's perspective.
Suitable For:
This in-depth session will cover the administration of online assessment and giving grades and feedback; as such, it's recommended for administrative staff, but academic staff might want to attend to learn how they can configure formative assessment.
