Colleagues from the Faculty of Health and Medicine and the Health Partnerships Team will be discussing the power of knowledge exchange as they celebrate International Women's Dayon Monday 9 March, 12:30-1:30pm - with an invited panel discussing their experiences getting to where they are in their careers.

This year’s IWD theme is “Give to Gain”, and the panel - hosted by Dean of Health and Medicine Professor Jo Rycroft-Malone OBE - will feature colleagues from different professional backgrounds reflecting on overcoming their biggest career challenges, considering advice they wish they’d had earlier and discussing the importance of allies’ encouragement - and sharing their knowledge in a spirit of reciprocity and support.

‘When we give, we gain. Together, let's help forge gender equality through abundant giving.’

The panel will comprise:

Professor Jackie Parry, Professor in Microbiology and Head of Biomedical and Life Sciences

Dr Lisa Ashmore, Senior Lecturer in Social Sciences

Professor Catherine Walshe, Professor of Palliative Care and Co-Director of International Observatory on End of Life Care

Jo Humphrey, Head of Faculty Operations, FHM

Laura Kornas – Head of Partnerships and Engagement for Health and Social Care at Lancaster University

This will be a hybrid event on Teams and in-person in Health Innovation One.
