This online, half-day, symposium is an opportunity to hear how Creative Writers approach their writing as research.
Our keynote speaker is Prof Joanna Nadin, (Bristol University), whose work on the mutable self and class identity has informed both her writing for young people and for adults, including 'The Future of the Self'. This project began life as that most slippery of beasts, the PhD critical reflection, and as part of her talk Joanna will explore how critical writing can become published writing.
We also hear from two of our own Creative Writing PhD students on their own journeys as Creative Writing researchers. The event concludes with a mixer session, allowing attendees to discuss the emergent ideas more informally.
