Event Details

At this online event you will get to hear presentations from staff at Eden Project Cornwall, Lancaster University and local schools involved in the Morecambe Bay Curriculum.

We will hear insights from 20 years of delivering nature based education at the Eden project Cornwall and inspiring examples of Morecambe based projects. We will also get an international perspective on how to talk to young people about climate change.

We will cover what a climate aware nature based curriculum routed in place looks like and how progress in developing the curriculum and pedagogy in Cumbria.

Importantly we will consider pupil voice and agency.

The presenters, Sam Kendall, Jason Brooks (both from Eden Project Cornwall), Linda Pye (Head Teacher Ryelands school), Alison Wilkinson (SouthLakes Federation), Robert Barratt (Eden Project Chair of Education and Engagement) and Liz Edwards (Senior Research Associate in Computing), will talk about education in the context of a climate crisis from a range of perspectives, experience and geography. They will answer questions submitted through the online portal.
