Event Details
A public lecture on life as a gay student in the early eighties and the seismic changes in British society which have taken place since.
In 1982, Chris Creegan organised Gay Rights '82, a series of films and discussions about gay rights in everyday life, on behalf of Lancaster University Students' Union. Chris went on to spearhead the drive for lesbian and gay equality in the trade union movement in the 1980s. He remains active on LGBT issues and is a regular commentator on attitudes to sexuality. In this talk, he will offer his personal reflections on life as a gay student in the early eighties and the seismic changes in British society which have taken place since.
This event is free and open to all.
