Pokemon & other imaginations of the plant world: modern botany or cultural distraction?

Dawn Sanders (Twitter: @dawngarden) works across the art / science interface. Her research focuses on plant blindness and seeing the importance of plants for a sustainable world. Dawn is also a founder of the Herbaria 3.0 project, which uses the concept of the herbaria to provide the historical context for exploring the lives of plants and their shared history with humans.

Dawn is an Editor for the new Open Access journal, Plants, People, Planet, which is owned by the New Phytologist Trust, based in LEC. Bennett Young, Managing Editor for Plants, People, Planet, will give a brief introduction to the new journal before the seminar. Dawn and Bennett will both be available to answer questions after the seminar, over drinks and nibbles.

There is no need to register, all welcome. Please contact Mike Whitfield for more information.
