Join a selection of our wonderful academics for some fun, festive and free public lectures in Kirkby Lonsdale!
From 7pm in St Mary's Church Kirkby Lonsdale, three of our fantastic lecturers from across the Faculty of Science and Technology will be presenting some holiday-appropriate scientific talks for the general public. There is no need to book in advance - simply turn up. Our speakers and their respective talks this year include:
- Dr Dan Fretwell from the School of Mathematical Sciences with "Some festive sums my true love gave to me"
- Dr Katie Alcock from the Psychology Department with "Why Santa makes sense when you're five"
- Dr Nick Fletcher from Chemistry with his talk, " The sweet science of Christmas chocolate"
