Please join us to celebrate the arrival of two new members of Creative Writing staff, Oliver Langmead and Rachel Winterbottom. There will be readings, conversation, questions from the floor and a drinks reception.
Oliver K. Langmead is a Scottish author and poet. His most recent novels are Glitterati and Birds of Paradise, and his long-form poem, Dark Star, was one of the Guardian’s Best Books of 2015. He has a Doctorate in Fine Art from the University of Glasgow, and works as a Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Lancaster. In late 2018 he was the writer in residence at the European Space Agency’s Astronaut Centre in Cologne.
Rachel Winterbottom publishes as Rachel Winters and is the author of Would Like to Meet, a romantic comedy that engages with and subverts tropes within the romantic comedy genre. She has over seven years’ publishing experience at Gollancz and Voyager UK. She is currently working on her second romantic comedy, One Way or Another.
