This series of three film screenings explores how film can serve as a tool to re-imagine the hospital.
From 18-20 May, we will host three film screenings:
- Allelujah!, directed by Richard Eyre (2023): Based on the play of the same title by Alan Bennett, this film tells the story of beloved Northern hospital threatened with closure
- Every Little Thing, directed by Nicolas Philibert (1977): Documentary about the famous French psychiatric hospital, the La Borde clinic, following patients and doctors as they rehearse for the annual hospital play.
- Hospital, directed by Frederick Wiseman (1970): Award-winning documentary following the daily life of the Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City
