Get an ‘inside view’ of the recycling process in Lancashire at the Farrington Waste Recovery Park and be able to ask all-important questions to ultimately find out what happens after the waste is collected from our doorstep.
Get an ‘inside view’ of the recycling process in Lancashire at the Farrington Waste Recovery Park and be able to ask all-important questions to ultimately find out what happens after the waste is collected from our doorstep. During the visit we will see the site, how items are separated then sorted, plus consider all the challenges involved. To come on this trip you must sign up by 7/02/2024.
A member of the Green Lancaster Team will meet you at the Lancaster Train Station in town where we will take the train to Preston departing at 12:27. Please arrive at 12.15 to ensure a prompt departure. We will return back at Lancaster Train Station around 17:15. This event including the transport is free.
An e-mail will be sent to all registered participants a few days before the event with full details of the event.
Please ensure you are wearing appropriate outdoor footwear and clothing (warm and waterproof). You are welcome to bring snacks and a drink with you.
