Lancaster University has maintained its high national position in the Complete University Guide 2023 with a ranking of 11th out of 130 universities across the UK for the second year running.

Lancaster has also retained its crown as the Guide’s best higher education institution in North West England.

Within the North West region, which includes 12 universities, Lancaster also came top for its ‘Research Intensity’ and ‘Completion’ of degrees by its students.

The Complete University Guide league table is based on ten measures: Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Graduate Prospects – outcomes, Graduate Prospects – on track, Student-Staff Ratio, Spending on Academic Services, Spending on Student Facilities, and Completion. It includes 130 institutions.
