Lancaster maintains top 10 position in Guardian league table

Lancaster has maintained its top 10 position in the Guardian University League Table 2019, confirming its place as one of the UK’s elite institutions.
In the new tables, published on Tuesday 29th May 2018, Lancaster is ranked as ninth in the country, equalling its position from the previous year and remaining in the top ten all three major UK league tables.
In the most recent Guardian guide, Lancaster appears in the top ten for 12 subjects listed, and is ranked at number one in the country for Social Work.
Lancaster is in the top ten for: Art; Business, Management and Marketing; Criminology; Engineering: Chemical; Engineering: Mechanical; Geography and Environmental Studies; History; Mathematics; Media and Film Studies; Physics; Religious Studies and Theology; and Social Work.
Universities are ranked according to: course satisfaction; teaching quality; feedback; staff-student ratio; spend per student; average entry tariff; a value-added score that compares students’ degree results with their entry qualifications; career after six month and continuation rate.
The latest tables build on the recent successes in The Complete University Guide 2019, in which Lancaster rose one place to eighth.
Lancaster University is currently also the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide University of the Year, and is also highly- ranked in international league tables such as the QS World Rankings.
