Understanding your fee status and how to request a change

A student’s fee status is determined at the application stage by our Admissions Team. Any disputes should be resolved prior to registration with the University as, once a student has registered, the fee status will not be changed. The fee status under which a student registers will remain with them throughout that registration.

Under exceptional circumstances, a fee status review can be requested. To request a review of your fee status, please contact the relevant Admissions Team as follows:

Students are advised that Lancaster University has different qualifying criteria than funding bodies such as Student Finance England, and it is possible for you to be eligible for funding from such a body while being classed as Overseas for fees purposes by the University.
