About your offer
We're here to support you. If you have questions about this or any other aspect of the university admissions process and what happens next, look at our after you've applied section.
Conditional or unconditional?
You'll have received a conditional or an unconditional offer from us - both are good news!
- A conditional offer means you still need to meet the requirements – usually exam results.
- An unconditional offer means you've got a place, although there might still be a few things to arrange.
Firm or insurance?
You'll need to accept your offer as your firm or insurance place to join Lancaster.
- A firm acceptance is your first choice – the place you most want to go to. If you accept a conditional offer and meet the conditions, you'll have a confirmed place at Lancaster!
- An insurance acceptance is the choice you'd want if you didn't meet the conditions of your firm choice. If this is a conditional offer, you'd need to meet the conditions for your place to be confirmed.
You can learn more about different types of offers and what they mean on the UCAS website.
