Green Lancaster’s popular preloved household items sale, ECOShop, returns! Last year over 3,500 items were purchased, diverting items from landfill, with all donations being re-invested into Green Lancaster projects to improve environmental sustainability on campus.

Through its Don’t Ditch It, Donate It project, over the summer the Green Lancaster team has been collecting quality student items to sell to new and returning students. If you are looking to buy sustainable, upcycled and low-cost items on a pay-as-you-feel basis, visit the ECOShop! The ECOShop will run in Alexandra Square (outside the library) during Welcome Week from 1st to 7th October 10am-3pm. Student ‘must have’ items can be bought, including:

• Kitchenware - Crockery and glasses, Pots and pans, Cutlery and utensils;

• Clothes drying racks and coat hangers;

• Homeware and Room décor;

• Stationary and Ringbinders;

• And much more!

In addition, textbooks will be available for purchase as part of the 'Big Textbook Sale' taking place on Thursday 6th October. Students can find essential reading materials at a fraction of the original price, only £15 each.

Last but not least, upcycled and professionally laundered bedding ECOPacks are available to pre-order now and collect from the Green Lancaster ECOShop in Alexandra Square during welcome week. These reduce waste, carbon emissions and contribute to a circular economy on campus. To pre-book a student bedding ECOPack, fill in this booking form by 30th of September. The costs of ECOPacks are as follows:
