Lancaster Graduate Awarded Prestigious Marketing Fellowship
Lydia Crossley (BSc Marketing, 2006, Lonsdale) has achieved Fellowship status from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), marking a major milestone in her 20-year career across the marketing industry.
Fellowship is the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s highest level of recognition, awarded to senior marketers who demonstrate sustained impact, expertise and leadership within the industry whilst making a long-standing contribution to the marketing profession.
Since graduating from Lancaster in 2006, Lydia has built a diverse career spanning senior in-house marketing roles and entrepreneurship. She spent over 15 years leading marketing strategy across sectors such as sport, leisure, tourism and education – including time at the Lake District National Park, Lancaster & Morecambe College and leading north-west agency, Fat Media.
In 2021, Lydia founded Good Morning Digital, an award-winning marketing consultancy based in Cumbria. Drawing on both her in-house and agency experience, she works closely with organisations in the north and beyond to deliver strategic, insight-led marketing that drives results. In 2024 the consultancy’s digital marketing work with £14 million Blackpool museum, Showtown, was named Best Social Media Campaign at the industry leading Prolific North Marketing Awards.
Alongside her consultancy work, Lydia has become a respected voice in the industry - supporting the wider marketing community through consistently championing best practice. As an awards judge, podcast contributor and advocate of the CIM Chartered Marketer process, it’s something that she’s believes strongly in:
“Doing marketing in the right way really matters to me — and it always will. Since my very early days at Lancaster University Management School, the importance of a clear strategy, real practical skills and strong ethics hasn’t changed at all.
Marketing might move faster than ever before, but my time at Lancaster set me up to evolve with confidence and enjoy everything that the industry brings. Becoming a CIM Fellow is a real honour and I look forward to continuing to champion and support the wider marketing industry well into the future.”
