Members of Lancaster’s Facilities and Estates teams are up for two awards at this year’s IWFM Impact Awards. Frontline Heroes, and Team of the Year.

Each year the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) seeks to recognise excellence in facilities teams around the world.

This year, teams from Lancaster have been shortlisted for two awards: Frontline Heroes, and Team of the Year. The winner of the Frontline Heroes award is open to the public, meaning you have the chance to vote for Lancaster’s team.

Paul Morris, Director of Capital Development & Estate Operations says, “This is a fantastic achievement as the Awards attracted a great number of entries this year from a diverse range of individuals, projects and organisations. Please cast a vote for Lancaster’s team - your vote really matters!”

Our Frontline Heroes

During the lockdowns at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Lancaster’s Service Delivery Team which includes Security, Porters, Cleaning and Grounds teams, were on the front line of the University’s efforts to put the welfare of our students first.

Following the roll-out of the ‘ConnectLancaster’ app, if students didn’t check in to say they were ok, members of Lancaster’s Service Delivery Team would follow up with welfare checks, making sure all members of our community were safe and well.

You can find a short video about our Service Delivery Team then, you can vote for them to win the IWFM Frontline Heroes award on the IWFM webpage.

Voting for the Frontline Heroes award is open from now until Thursday 11th August.

Winners for both categories will be announced at the 2022 IWFM Impact Awards on 17th October at a special event in London.
