Solar Photovoltaic Farm

The University’s new Solar Photovoltaic Farm at Forrest Hills has been operational since October 2025. This investment marks an important milestone in the University’s commitment to sustainability and clean energy.

Since the solar farm was completed, it has been generating renewable energy for the Lancaster campus, supporting day-to-day operations, and helping to diminish reliance on grid electricity, whilst also reducing the cost of the University’s utility bills.

The solar farm is a fantastic new element of the University’s existing energy infrastructure and makes a significant contribution to the University’s net zero agenda.
