The International Regional Scholarship – Undergraduate is a £3,000 scholarship, awarded as fee reduction for each year of study, to international students from an eligible country/region (see eligibility) who are applying to study an undergraduate course starting in 2026.

Who is eligible?
You will automatically be considered for this scholarship if you:
- are a national of, or your permanent home address is within, one of the following countries/regions:
- Bangladesh
- Egypt
- Ghana
- Indonesia
- Kenya
- Malaysia
- Nepal
- Nigeria
- Pakistan
- Sri Lanka
- Taiwan
- Thailand
- Turkey
- Vietnam
- have submitted an application, via UCAS, for any undergraduate course at Lancaster University before the UCAS equal consideration date (14 January 2026)
International students from other countries may be eligible for the Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship – International.
Application process
There is no separate application process for this scholarship. Eligible students will be identified automatically through their application. The scholarship is confirmed when you meet the terms of your offer, or accept your place if your offer is unconditional.
Combining scholarship awards
If you meet the eligibility criteria for the Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship - International, you can combine it with this International Regional Scholarship – Undergraduate.
The International Regional Scholarship – Undergraduate can also be combined with the Lancaster University International Study Centre Progression Scholarship.
Payment of the scholarship
The award will be worth £3,000 and will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction, each year of study, for undergraduate programmes.

- The scholarship is available across all our full-time undergraduate degree programmes offered fully on campus at Lancaster University Bailrigg campus
- You must meet or exceed the terms of your offer in order to receive the scholarship
- The International Regional Scholarship – Undergraduate is only available to students joining year 1 of an undergraduate programme
- You are not eligible to receive the International Regional Scholarship - Undergraduate for any repeated years of study
Lancaster University reserves the right to withdraw this scholarship or bursary if award holders are subsequently found to be ineligible or if the terms and conditions of the scholarship are not adhered to.
