As part of your Global Summer School, you will enjoy a range of opportunities for you to make friends, try new skills and travel across the UK!
Socialise and Explore
As well as the academic content, you will be able to choose from a wide range of social activities in the evenings and weekends. There will also be optional workshops and other resources where you can reflect on your own cultural background and explore new perspectives.
Explore the UK
Explore the UK's natural landscapes, busy metropolitans and historic towns visiting locations such as:
- Chester
- Liverpool
- London
- Manchester
- The Lake District
- York
Please note that weekend trips can vary and are at an additional cost.
London
As part of your Global Summer Schools, you will enjoy a 2-night trip to discover London! You will be able to choose how to explore the capital city with student ambassadors as well as free time for yourself.

Evening Activities
We run regular social activities in the evenings for you to relax and make friends with students from across the summer schools. For larger groups, there will often be choices of activities between sports, games or cultural activities. Here are some examples from previous years:
- Make friends over a game of badminton, frisbee or netball
- Movie night
- Sing your heart out at karaoke
- Arts and crafts
- Play strategy games
