Health Innovation Campus Parking
Parking information for Health Innovation Campus parking users including staff, tenants and visitors.
Important! Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) services are now in place at the Health Innovation Campus (HIC). Please review the below information to ensure that you choose the correct solution for you when parking at HIC.
Parking at the Health Innovation Campus car park
Key changes to parking enforcement are now in place at the Health Innovation Campus (HIC) car park.
RingGo Cashless Parking Solutions
A new parking solution provided by RingGo Cashless Parking Solution is now in place. HIC car park users can now pay for their parking via app, by phone or using the RingGo website. Detailed instructions on using RingGo to pay for parking will be signposted at the HIC car park. The current 3G parking ticketing machines will remain in place during the transition to the new system for those wishing to use them. Any additional RingGo service charges will be absorbed by the University during the 2023/24 academic year, meaning there will be no additional charges for RingGo users at HIC.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)
ANPR has now been implemented at the HIC car park. Any car park user who does not have a registered parking permit or who does not purchase a temporary parking pass using RingGo or the HIC car park ticketing machine will be subjected to a Parking Charge Notice (PCN). A grace period of 30 minutes is in place for picking up/dropping off and for deliveries in the HIC car park. Please ensure that all valid Parking Permits are clearly displayed by permit holders in any applicable vehicle that is parked on Bailrigg Campus and the Health Innovation Campus.
New Digital HIC Daily Parking Permits
A new digital parking ticket solution has been implemented for eligible staff and tenant staff at HIC to purchase a single day of staff parking at the daily scratch card rate. This allows those who had previously parked at HIC using scratch cards to continue to do so, rather than parking at Car Park L(b). Contact car-parking@lancaster.ac.uk for more information and to arrange purchase of this product.
Can you use physical Staff and Contractor Scratch Cards to park at HIC?
Physical parking scratch cards are no longer accepted for use at the HIC car park. HIC users wishing to park close to the Health Innovation One (HI One) building and use physical parking scratch cards can do so by parking at Car Park L(b), also known as the Bowling Green car park next to the Sports Centre.
