Electric charging point in use

Electric Vehicles

Dedicated charging points, all-inclusive electric charging for permit holders and more environmentally friendly. These are just some of the benefits of travelling by electric vehicle.

Register for a permit

Register your electric vehicle for a Plug-in Electric Vehicle Parking Permit from the Parking Office, Security at a cost of £224 per year. Students can also benefit if eligible for a permit.

Future use of electricity

The average cost of fuel (electricity) consumed at the campus EV charging points over the year is now added to the permit fee. From 2021/22 it is the intention to be able to reduce the EV Permit price whilst introducing a pay-as-you-go charging system for electricity consumption at the campus charging points. More details on this will be provided in 2021.
